How often do you make a conscious effort to uplift and validate another human being? Likely, not often enough.

I really liked how this video demonstrates how easy it is to validate others and help them to feel better about themselves and their world.

Neuro Linguistic Programming involves specific techniques designed to influence people. NLP was primarily designed to help people heal from physical ailments and emotional trauma but is naturally used in the sales cycle. This video really demonstrates the use of anchoring.

If you know nothing about NLP or anchoring let me give you a little background…

NLP uses a series of anchors to create certain emotions in people and then translate that emotion back to a specific desired result. Anchoring can change the way you feel about something by creating a favorable emotional state and then transferring those feelings to something else.

It is stimulus that is linked to a specific emotional reaction and therefore can evoke a specific response. Anchors produce internal reactions thousands of times a day without you realizing it. Everyone in life deals with adversity. It’s simply a fact of life. However, thankfully, very few of us will experience the kind of adversity that Dan Caro went through.

Dan Caro is someone I’ve been wanting to introduce you to for almost a year. My husband, son and I met Dan in April 2009 and we all found his story to be a very inspirational one. It’s a story I’ve been wanting to share with you since the day we first heard Dan speak.

At the young age of two Dan went into his garage to retrieve a toy. A spark from the water heater ignited some gasoline and Dan was caught in the fireball explosion. Dan was severely burned with third degree burns over most of his tiny body. Doctors gave him basically no chance of survival.

Daniel Rudy Ruettiger lives a life without limits. Just how far Rudy is willing to go to reach for his dreams and the best in himself is demonstrated in the 1993 inspirational film based on his life titled Rudy.

If you aren’t familiar with Rudy’s story here is some of his inspiring story, or you can read a synopsis of Rudy’s life at the end of this post.

Rudy gave an electrifying speech at a business training event we attended last month in Las Vegas last month. We had the privilege of meeting him after his speech. I was grateful that my teenage son was able to learn from him.
