Will Smith Lives Life Without Limits

Will Smith Understands the Laws of Success

Will Smith’s recent films have turned me into somewhat of a fan.  However, the video clip I share with you below made a much bigger fan out of me.  You see, Will seems to really have an understanding on what it has to achieve true success and there is no doubt that Will Smith has learned how to live a Life Without Limits.

Perhaps some of you are thinking “anyone who has achieved the status in life that Will Smith has really has to understand it. “  Yes, that is true, to some extent. Certain thought processes need to come into play to achieve the same level of success.  But I would bet that few of those actors and/or actresses have taken the time to really study the laws of success like Will has.  And how many of them have the same goals that Will Smith has?

He said…

“I want to do good. I want the world to be better because I was here. ” ~ Will Smith

“I don’t want to be an icon. I want to be an idea.  I want to represent an idea.  I want to represent possibilities.  I want to represent magic.” ~ Will Smith

Take a few moments to watch the video and you’ll see it is obvious that Will has spent a great deal of time studying the laws of success, and has developed a strong work ethic.

I particularly enjoyed his commentary about being realistic.

Some of my favorite Will Smith quotes I made note of  from this video are:

“You can’t be scared to die for truth. Truth is the only thing that is constant.”

“Make a choice.  Just decide what it is going to be, who you are going to be, and how you are going to do it.”

“You don’t try to build a wall.  You don’t set out to build a wall”  “You say, I am going to lay this brick as perfectly as a brick can be laid.  And you do that every single day and soon you have a wall.”

“Being realistic is the most common road to mediocrity.”

Daily Life Lessons

Here’s some of the success related content I enjoyed reading this week.  Likely you will too!.  I encourage you to visit these blogs and take a look.

Tips to Increase Your Motivation Level

In Motivation, The Heart of Self Improvement James and Elena outline one self-improvement tip  for each letter of the alphabet. All of them are tips to help increase your motivation level.   One example for the letter “D” is: “Don’t give up and don’t give in. Thomas Edison failed once, twice, more than thrice before he came up with his invention and perfected the incandescent light bulb. Make motivation as your steering wheel.”

Tips to Improving Relationships

Adil Syed shares some great tips on improving relationships through celebrations.   The post starts out encouraging people to ” Celebrate the joy of having met that one very special person, find joy in the wonderful things that ‘click’ about you and your spouse and celebrate what you are committed to building together. “  Some great advice, but I found the original article at several other places online.  So I’m honestly not sure if the original content is Adils or not.

Improve Your Business Using  Systems

I have been working on implementing more  systems in my business so I can run it more effectively so I was glad to stumble upon Shirley George Frazier’s post at Solo Business Marketing on  Six Procedures to Put in Your Marketing Systems Folder as well as the importance of documenting your marketing procedures.  She has some fantastic tips for the solo entrepreneur and small business owner on her blog.

Design Your Own Life

I was recently talking to a dear friend about how I need to get a better about setting up boundaries.   So the article by Joy Chudacoff titled Smart Women and The Race Against time was ideal timing.  In it  Joy talks about four things women (or men) can do to help free up more time for what is important – one of them is to set up boundaries.  Read it to find some important time management tips.

We All Need Special Tactics

We All Need Special Tactics to get the most out of life.  Tactics help highly trained SWAT teams achieve their objectives.  You’re no different.  Steve Borgman says, “Every top business uses a tool called SWOT to uncover its Strengths and Weaknesses, and to examine Opportunities and Threats facing it.”  Click here to learn more about his SWOT tactics and how it can help you.

Take advantage of the tips and improve your life.

Lifes Daily Lessons - Turning Problems Into Solutions

Here’s some of the interesting content I found last week on the web.  Friday is the day I want to publish links to some of the interesting articles I came across during the week and I thought this was set to publish last Friday.   But  I still had this article saved as a draft.  So for now Monday it is.

  1. I love the beauty of Christine’s blog, but her content is equally just as beautiful. This week Christine reminded me that I may be hindering my communication with others in her article titled  I Might Be Wrong.  She reminded me that I am always a little blind in every situation. And that this lack of pure knowledge could cause me to react in ways that cause others pain and separation. Sadly, I know that has been much to true of myself lately. Perhaps it will help you as well.
  2. Have you recently felt insignificant? Michelle Stimson’s post Every Wonder Why You’re Here? will remind you that you have a unique mission to fill and that who you are makes a difference in this world.
  3. Also from Christine’s blog comes an article about creating optimism and more of that joyful energy in Have the Right Attitude.
  4. You Too Can make Someone’s Day is another post I enjoyed by Michelle Stimpson.  She reminds us to slow down and take  the time to help others feel better about themselves, their lives, and their contribution to others.
  5. In Stop being a student; Sart being a master Brett talks about the dangers of becoming stuck in a constant learning mode and therefore failing to move to the next level.  He shares some fantastic insight into what separates the master from the student.   Brett is only 17-years old but you can learn much from him.

Enjoy!

Create Your Own Happiness

Since the beginning of time people have searched for the key to happiness. In fact, there are close to 4 million searches done each month on Google alone by people looking for the keys to happiness.

Luckily many people have found happiness.  Their secret – the knowledge that happiness doesn’t just come to you.  Happiness is created.

Robin McGraw’s writes in her book Inside My Heart: Choosing to Live with Passion and PurposeThere’s a huge difference between expecting happiness to come to you because you deserve it, and going out and getting the happiness you believe you deserve.” It got me thinking about what I do to create happiness for myself.

Perhaps you are at a time in your life where creating your own happiness seems overwhelming. I know because I’ve been there!

Perhaps you are on “survival mode” like I was. There was a time when I just kept telling myself over and over again “you can make it through the next half hour.” And then again, “you can make it through the next half hour.” That’s how Read the rest of this entry »

Can You Experience True Success Without Play?

Many people are so driven to succeed that they neglect to play.  I am, or rather, was one of those people.

You see, I’ve always been driven to succeed.  But, I was so driven to succeed that my life had slipped out of balance and I found myself failing to really enjoy life.

I kept thinking that once I achieve “this” I can relax and play more.  Once I achieve “that” I can take a few hours off to go hiking, or take a vacation.

But then the next big project came along and… well…you probably know the rest of the story.

Mark Twain said, “Work and play are words used to describe the same thing under differing conditions.”  Work can be play.  And play can be work.

Mark Twain also said,  Work consists of whatever a body is obliged to do. Play consists of whatever a body is not obliged to do.”

My problem was that throughout my life I had a pattern of turning the things I loved to do for fun into Read the rest of this entry »
