It’s so very easy to become addicted to learning personal development skills that one fails to actually apply what they learn, and fail to really live a life they enjoy. Henrik Edberg shares five ways that personal development can keep you from growing in his article titled 5 Sneaky Ways That Personal Development Information Can Screw with Your Head. It is worth a read.
Happiness And Longevity
After accounting for known heart disease risk factors researchers found that happy people are 22% less likely to develop heart disease than people who tend to me more negative. This article at WebMD outlines the finding of the research and also outlines strategies that could help you become happier.
Are You Using Praise Effectively or Is It Backfiring On You?
Most people use praise ineffectively. I know I’ve been guilty of that quite a few times. Dr. Larina Kase shares some great tips on how to to help people move forward in her article Building Self Confidence: 7 Qualities Praise Must Have to Build Confidence and Self Esteem.
