This entry is part 4 of 5 in the series Envision This

Envision ThisThailand is on my vision board. It’s one of the countries at the top of my list of places to visit.   Previously called Siam, I think my desire to travel there started when my second grade teacher showed us some photographs of her travels there.  My desire was further solidified when I saw the movie Anna and The King where I lived the beauty of Thailand through the movie screen.

Here’s 8 Reasons Why Thailand Should Be On Your Vision Board

5. Experience History – Visit Ancient Ruins

Wat Chaiwatthanaram is a Buddhist temple in the city of Ayutthaya, Thailand.  It is one of Thailand’s major tourist attractions and considered by many to be one of the wonders of the world.  The temple was constructed in 1630 by the king Prasat Thong as the first temple of his reign, as a memorial of his mother who lived in the area.

It isn’t officially one of the Seven Wonders of the World but many people voted for it to be included on the new list.
