I read a lot of Dr Seuss books to my kids and they love them and it’s more or less adult books because the things in there adults understand and find funny as well. Dr Seuss is, WAS, a great writer and always will be.

Wriien during the time of the Great Purges in Russia, it is a scathing indictment of the Dictatorshop of the Proletariat and an acute analysis of political systems. The central character, Nicholas Salmanovich Rubashov, is arrested and forced to re-evaluate his belief in the Party after serving the Party faithfully for over forty years. It is a challenging novel, rich in imagery and religious and literary allusion.
