ooks to Help You Navigate Life and Business

By Leisa Watkins

“A library of wisdom, is more precious than all wealth, and all things that are desirable cannot be compared to it. Whoever therefore claims to be zealous of truth, of happiness, of wisdom or knowledge, must become a lover of books.” ~ Unknown

There is definitely some truth to this quote when one considers the vast amount of knowledge one can acquire from books. One can truly have a library of wisdom.

Naturally, that library of books doesn’t do a man much good if they sit on the shelf unread, and it’s true that one could acquire knowledge by talking to people, but the knowledge that can be gained from many people from the past can be obtained only in a book.

Happiness ~ there are many many happy people in the world that haven’t read a book, but books have certainly helped me gain happiness at low points in my life. Happiness is more easily found by helping people.

Truth ~ truth can be found within books, but so can false concepts and propaganda.

With this I can agree with: A library of wisdom is precious. Precious indeed.

Since my children now have families of their own I have changed the tradition of letter writing to Santa. For those that “still believe” I write them a letter from Santa. I do this for family and friends. I obtain the necessary info from mom i.e what they want for Christmas, memorable events during the year and improvements that need to be made. It is written on Santa stationary complete with Santa return address and stamp. It is as much fun for me as it is for the little ones.
